Vincent Laforet has been published in just about every notable news/sports magazine and/or newspaper. I just had the chance to hear him speak and I came away with a few things. 1) a helicopter always helps when trying to get a unique perspective on things, and 2) photojournalism, as we know it today, is sadly becoming a thing of the past. He is now turning to video, as are most other photojournalists, due to the fact that most clients are now looking for multi-media content as well as, amazing photos. He was also one of the first people, maybe the very first (he accidently walked in on Canon opening the prototypes and convinced them to let him take one home for a weekend) to shoot a movie on the new Canon 5D Mark II. He had some great stories about getting the perfect shots and was really entertaining to listen to.
